Good day Talent Acquisition Team!

I get email updates for opportunities at CenturyLink, click on one I’m interested in and get taken to Lumen. A quick internet search and there it is, you changed your name to Lumen on September 14, 2020. But I still pay CenturyLink for my internet service. All good with me, I’ve a very happy customer.

I’d like to be a happy employee. I’m not going to waste your time here telling you how I would be the best fit for this position, you have my resume and LinkedIn profile. There’s a good chance this letter won’t even be read unless I make it past the digital screening and then even if I do, do you guys really read these? What are you expecting? Do you get bored with the same rhetoric and trite phrases? Yeah, that’s not me.

If you’ve read this because I did make it past the scan I hope you see that I’m an actual human too and would love to have a real conversation IRL, well, probably over a call/video, I’ll be here. I’ll still be here if no one reads this and is forever banished into a digital grave. All good, I’ll still be living my best life.
