Hi there Talent Acquisition Team,

I’m really hoping this gets opened and read, but you never really do know these days. First my resume has to make it through the digital-scan guard dogs, I know, saves time. Then I can pray that a human will actually read it. And then, then maybe someone will open the cover letter.

I mean, who writes these anymore anyway, am I right? You can most certainly see all the information you will need to make the decision on whether to reach out and request an interview (the answer is yes by the way). This cover letter is really just to give you an inkling into my personality. Fun, right? Goes the extra mile, right? Wastes time on frivolous things, nah, not when you are enjoying what you’re doing.

Okay, now the fine print. I don’t want you to worry that my life will be less than awesome if this letter is not read, or worse, not enjoyed. I want you to know that I will still live my best life. I would like you to do so as well. If this is indeed read. Read by a human. Come on digital-scan guards dogs, pass me on through.
