Talent Acquisition Team,

Greetings, I’m hoping to the big yellow fiery ball in the sky this makes it to human eyes. Why you ask, because let’s face it, only about 17% of cove letters get read. So why did I bother to write one? Let me explain.

I am the person for this job. This job is exactly what I love to do. I’m a customer service operational fanatic. Let’s not forget how much I admire Starbucks as a corporation, but I won’t dote on that, we’d be here a while. So I’m not going to go into a lot of blah blah blah…because you can see by my resume and LinkedIn profile that I have the experience and education. Call me and I’ll go into more detail that will qualify me as a shoe-in for this position.

But alas, if this letter of great passion does not make it to human eyes and is instead chopped up into computer bits only to be read by future humans as a corporate artifact, life goes on. I will survive, Starbucks will survive but think of what could have been.
